It wants to raise $25,000 to keep funding programs, like its Ark Family Room Series, that go beyond Ann Arbor. Some supporters are local and loyal fans of the music venue, but others are in Australia, Ireland and the state of Washington. Currently, it is working to develop ticketed events and is exploring ways to make virtual programs more enriching and engaging for patrons. Having started his Music Environment in 1979, and his store, Ozs Music, in 1990, Osburn has been a part of Ann Arbors musical community for decades. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he and the other instructors at Ozs Music have had to teach their students online. At Ozs Music he usually offers weekly Open Stages for musicians to show off their skills he now holds those online.
