His family said he would often leave to go to the store, but he would come back. One 6-year-old child and the infant are Keith’s children. The other 6-year-old child and the 3-year-old were the children of a friend, according to officials. Keith’s vehicle flipped and landed upside down on Joy Road, police say. A 6-year-old boy -- who was not Keith’s child -- was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

According to police, a woman driving an SUV with the boy and three other children collided with another SUV near Joy Road and Artesian Street. The 6-year-old boy, one of the son’s friends, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The woman driving the SUV, along with the man driving the other SUV, were also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman driving the SUV has been taken into police custody and is awaiting charges.
