A man and two pets were rescued from a burning apartment building in Auburn Hills.

Firefighters from seven different cities and townships around Oakland County helped battle a fire that destroyed several apartments in Auburn Hills.

The residents of a house that caught fire Wednesday in Auburn Hills escaped, but firefighters had to go inside to rescue several cats that were trapped in the blaze.

DETROIT – A single story family home in the 100 block of Guanonocque Street in Auburn Hills caught fire Saturday night, according to the city’s fire department. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
