An outbreak of avian flu is forcing farmers to cull their flocks and leading to concerns about even higher food prices.

Michigan officials have temporarily banned all poultry and waterfowl exhibitions amid the avian flu outbreak that’s spreading quickly across the U.S. and has prompted farms to euthanize millions of birds.

Michigan has ordered all bird exhibitions to pause as more cases of the bird flu are being confirmed in the state.

With confirmed bird flu cases growing in Michigan, officials are suggesting residents limit their backyard bird feeders this year to reduce contact with wild birds.
