INKSTER, Mich. โ€“ A 20year-old man was found fatally shot Thursday morning at an apartment complex on Tobin Drive in Inkster. Michigan State Police said troopers responded to the area about 1 a.m. Thursday to find the man shot to death. No one has been taken into custody. This fatal shooting is under investigation. INKSTER, Mich. Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting that happened during an attempted robbery Saturday night. According to authorities, it happened just before 11 p.m. in the 28000 block of Glennwood Street in Inkster, near Inkster Road and Avondale Street. Police said someone pulled a gun on a driver in an attempt to rob people in a truck. Police said the suspect fired at least two shots at the vehicle, hitting only the driver. State troopers are still looking for the culprit.

Police said the 33-year-old victim was walking into Leonโ€™s Party Store on Inkster Road, just south of Avondale Street, before noon when a man walked up and started arguing with him. Related News: 3-year-old found stabbed to death inside Inkster homeThe man and victim tussled, police said, before the victim was shot. An innocent bystander with a concealed pistol license then walked up and the shooter ran away. Police said several people were detained in a different area of the city, and a weapon was retrieved.

More: Westland NewsThe homeowner said he was on his couch watching TV when he heard the tires. He said no one inside the home was hurt. The driver, however, was covered in blood and offered to give him money so he wouldnโ€™t call police, the homeowner said. The driver then fled the area on foot.

INKSTER, Mich. โ€“ A Ring camera caught people checking for unlocked cars in Inkster early Tuesday. The people walked down a block in the area of west Inkster Road and Avondale Street at about 1 a.m., checking car doors to see if they were locked. Police reminded residents to lock their vehicles and make a report if someone has broken into their car. If you have information about the people checking cars Tuesday, you are asked to contact police at 313-400-5387.
