DETROIT – The mother and father of a newborn baby that was dropped off at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit have been found. Police said a man pulled up to the hospital on Thursday, asked someone to hold the baby while he parked his vehicle and then drove away and did not return. Authorities said they were worried about the mother and located the parents thanks to a tip from the public. Police said the woman -- found at a home near the intersection of Lahser Road and Kessler Steet -- is OK.Police are still investigating to see the parents will face charges. It is not against the law to drop a newborn off at a safe place -- like a hospital or a fire station -- but the baby is supposed to given to an employee.

In another, a newborn had certain coronavirus antibodies that are unable to cross the placenta, so they could not have come from the mother. A report from France gave even stronger evidence of in-the-womb infection, and that newborn was very ill at birth.

His training took over and he saved the girl as frantic family members watched on the front lawn. As the family watched, the officer stayed calm and flipped the baby onto her stomach. Sterling Heights police Chief Dale Dwojakowski watched the video and said his offer is a hero. “Talk about a heartwarming video,” Dwojakowski said.

BRIDGEPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman and her baby died Tuesday morning in a mobile home fire near the Michigan city of Saginaw, authorities said. Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze in a mobile home park in Saginaw County's Bridgeport Township. The mother and child were in one of three trailers that caught fire, authorities said. The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known, and the names of the victims weren't released. Bridgeport Township is about 80 miles (130 kilometers) northwest of Detroit.

DETROIT – Police are looking into the death of a baby boy. According to police, the parents were in bed with the child. When they woke up around 4:30 a.m. the baby was unresponsive. Police say the baby showed no visible signs of trauma. The investigation is ongoing.

The internet search giant has worked on a product that promises to warn parents before their little one has even woken up. Using video streaming, audio recordings and AI, the device would monitor the baby's behavior against a database of normal patterns. Based on the infant's movements and any noise it makes, it would detect anything out of character and subsequently issue an alert if the baby appears uncomfortable. An alert could be issued before the baby cries or even wakes up, according to the patent, which was first reported by CNBC. The patent filing states: "While a baby's cry may alert his parents to the baby being in distress, sometimes a baby will not audibly indicate his distress.
