Detroit police have confirmed that the body found in a burned out building in August is David Woodger, a beloved Detroit barber, after DNA results came back.

Philip “Phil” Mannella, 85, is retiring after working as a barber for more than 65 years.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued a clarification about face masks being required at cosmetology and barbering facilities. MDHHS is stressing that such personal care facilities -- hair salons, barbers, spas, facial boutiques, etc. -- must require clients to wear a face mask at all times. If a face mask cannot be worn, the service cannot be provided at this time. WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. A barber showed up to his stop ready to cut and sweep up hair but was forced to sweep up glass instead. A car had crashed through the front windows of Mr. Barber on Orchard Lake Road, near 15 Mile Road. Surveillance video captured the collision Friday night. The barber shop is boarded up and closed. The driver is expected to be OK.
