A woman with multiple weapons is barricaded in a home on Detroit’s west side, according to police.

Local 4 is learning new information Monday about a wild barricaded situation that unfolded overnight in Harper Woods. Officials say It dragged on for seven hours at a home on Kenosha Street, right in the area of I-94 and Moross Road.

A 59-year-old man is in custody after police say he barricaded himself inside an apartment Tuesday morning at a complex in the 2200 block of Glencoe Hills Drive in Pittsfield Township.

According to authorities, two people have been shot -- a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman. Police said the man has died from his injuries, but the woman is expected to survive.

Police in Redford Township announced the barricaded situation on Lucerne Avenue, between Capitol and Wadsworth streets, has come to an end Sunday evening.

DETROIT – A barricaded gunman situation ended in northwest Detroit Thursday after the suspect surrendered. Detroit police surrounded a home on Coyle Street near West Chicago and Greenfield Road. Police said a 24-year-old man allegedly fired a shot at a 19-year-old woman and her sister after an argument over childcare money. Police said the suspect then barricaded himself. The man eventually surrendered after police played a recording of his mother pleading for him to come out.

DETROIT – Police are responding an allegedly armed man who has barricaded himself inside a home on Concord Street on Detroit’s east side, near Seven Mile Road. Authorities said the 42-year-old man inside the home is having a mental health episode. When police arrived at the home, they said the man was armed and threatened himself and his girlfriend inside the home. “He produced a handgun and made threatening motions towards his girlfriend, who is in the residence,” said Detroit Police Commander Darin Szilagyi. Members of the Detroit Special Response and Crisis Negotiation teams are on the scene trying to resolve the situation peaceful.

WARREN, Mich. – Officers killed a barricaded man Saturday morning after a nine hour standoff that started Friday night, according to Warren Police Commissioner, Bill Dwyer. Police say the shots were fired at Lancaster Woods Condominiums near Hayes and 12 Mile Road in Warren. When officers arrived they found an unstable man and the nine hour standoff started. Throughout the standoff between the man and officers negotiations failed, stated Dwyer. Dwyer said officers repeatedly told the man to put the weapon down, but he refused.

TAYLOR, Mich. – Several units of an apartment building were evacuated Wednesday morning due to a barricaded gunman situation in Taylor. Update 10 a.m.: This barricaded situation has ended, police said. Police said it all started about 2 a.m. with a domestic dispute between a man and a woman in a relationship. She was being held by Taylor police for questioning. Police said they were in no rush because of the 1-year-old child being involved.

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – A barricaded situation in Plymouth that started Saturday night has ended. The situation happened at a condo complex on Pinewood Circle near Ann Arbor Trail and Lilley Road. Police and fire crews were on the scene last night at the condo complex. It is unclear how the situation started. As of Sunday morning the situation was under control.

The hostage who escaped Wednesday morning told police he was fearing for his life the entire time he was in the home with the armed man. Original reports stated the man fired at officers, but police later clarified he did not fire directly at officers -- he just fired a shot.

Officials say beginning at about 5 a.m. a 44-year-old man barricaded himself inside a Country Cousin mobile home after his mother called police saying she wanted to get him into rehab. Police knocked on the door of the home off Haggerty Road near Twelve Mile Road when they heard a shot fired inside. By about 1:40 p.m. Novi police were able to talk the man into exiting the home. Police say no one was injured during the incident.

Police are searching for two men wanted in connection to a shooting and a barricaded gunman situation. According to authorities, it happened Sunday morning in a home on Coplin Street, near Chandler Park Drive. Police said a 40-year-old man was shot multiple times and was left in temporary serious condition after an argument. The two men were believed to be hiding inside a home, but police found the residence empty.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. Police believe a man has barricaded himself inside a business in Sterling Heights. Officers said the man is believed to be inside the Elwood Staffing building on Mound Road between 16 Mile and 17 Mile roads. The man walked into the business and employees said he was acting strangely and wouldnt respond, according to authorities. Police dont know if the man is armed, but theyre assuming the worst, just in case. Southbound Mound Road is closed between 16 Mile and 17 Mile roads.
