He vanished from the Faithful Helping Hands Community Services assisted living center for seniors, officials said. Detroit police said said he left his residence in the 6000 block of Cadieux Road around 9 p.m. March 14. On Saturday, someone inside the assisted living center found Franks’ body in the building’s basement, according to authorities. We asked Detroit officials if the city is responsible for oversight, but so far, we haven’t heard back.

Library staff over the weekend focused on removing moisture from the lower level.
