The summer is winding down, but there is still a chance to take advantage of an event at Beacon Park, which is filled with fun and a strong sense of community.

Do you still have the holiday vibes flowing after the Fourth of July? Well, you’re in luck because we’re just one day out from the weekend and there’s a full lineup of fun events you can check out.

You don’t have to leave Detroit to experience the fun of a cider mill.

Fall lovers can enjoy cider in the city and other fun activities during two weekends in October.

The weekend is almost here, and that means time for fun!

Travel through time, attend a carnival for all, or one only for adults, and wake up early for some yoga in the park. Those are just a few things to do this weekend in and around the D.

Jennyfer Crawford, known for All Things Detroit, is curating the weekday food truck fest for Detroit for the first time.

Summer in the city keeps getting better and better. The schedule of summer events to be taking place in Beacon Park was just announced and there is something for everyone.

Friday is Earth Day, the day to do projects, attend events, and celebrate ways to keep our planet healthy and thriving. Well, there is a free celebration happening in the heart of Detroit all weekend long for people of all ages. It’s happening at Beacon Park and includes a garden tour and art show all made possible by DTE Energy

Here are a few places where you can enjoy sparkling holiday lights.

You hear things like horse-drawn hayrides, pumpkin patch and cider and you probably aren’t thinking downtown Detroit. Well, there is an exciting month-long tradition returning this weekend with all that and more.

“It was totally different when I was a little girl. It’s beautiful now and it’s great to see that Detroit has revived and rejuvenated,” said Sybil Edwards. “It’s a wonderful place to be.”

The entire weekend event is free except for Saturday night’s charity gala where Sheryl Crow will perform. The proceeds will go to eight different charities that help children in need.

Events are taking place at six different parks downtown -- Campus Martius, Cadillac Square, Beacon Park, Capitol Park, Grand Circus Park and Spirit Plaza -- each with a specific kind of vehicle glistening in the bright sun.

The Motor City Car Crawl Presented by Huntington kicked off in Detroit on Thursday (Aug. 5).

We may not have been able to enjoy the traditional Auto Show this year, but this event could be just as fun -- how about an all-new car show rolling into the Motor City this week, and taking over downtown Detroit?

Beacon Park Its summer, the weather has been gorgeous, and with people social distancing, many are opting to dine outdoors. When DTE was creating Beacon Park, they built a restaurant to be a part of it, but they needed someone to run it. Thats where Norm and Bonnie LePage, owners of Birmingham based Griffin Claw Beer, came in. They also have Griffin Claw Beer on draft, a wine list, and a host of signature cocktails. They offer all of their drinks to-go and you can sip them anywhere in Beacon Park.
