The district was notified of a positive COVID-19 case within the building on Wednesday and received confirmation of an additional case on Thursday. There are three positive cases within the building and a fourth individual tested positive who visited the building. The district received notification of a positive COVID-19 case within the building yesterday and immediately sent out a parent communication. Section 1107 of the Revised School Code states that the Governor may remove a school board member. There is nothing in the law that provides procedures for a school board itself, or any employee of the school board, to remove a board member. Bedford Public School Board members only speak on behalf of the District through formal action at public School Board meetings. The Bedford Public Schools Board of Education does not endorse any statements made by individual Board Members."

(WDIV)TEMPERANCE, Mich. - Officials with Bedford Public Schools said an "alligator-type reptile" was seen swimming in the biology pond on the campus of the junior and senior high schools. The creature has been identified by animal experts as a 3-foot long caiman, officials said. Caimans aren't indigenous to Michigan, but they're often kept as pets, school officials said. All students and residents are asked to stay clear of the pond until the caiman can be relocated to a proper home.
