Troy police said they took a woman -- kicking and screaming -- into custody after they found her dog locked in a hot car and realized she had warrants out for her arrest.

Lane and ramp closures will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, March 8, on I-75 for punch list items and sound wall construction in the city of Troy, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). MDOT says the following restrictions will be in place:Only the left lane will be open on northbound I-75 at Big Beaver Road as crews work on repairing a drainage connection. Northbound ramp traffic will be detoured to the Crooks Road/ Corporate Drive interchange while southbound ramp traffic will be directed to Rochester Road . Northbound I-75 will have two lanes open near Wattles Road as crews build a new sound wall. The lane closures are expected to remain in place until mid-April.

TROY, Mich. – Police are looking for two suspects believed to have fired shots into a Troy hotel room early Saturday morning. Troy police say that at about 4 a.m. Saturday, five shots were fired through a sliding glass door and into a hotel room at the Hawthorn Suites. At that time, there were four teenagers from Roseville and Detroit celebrating a sweet 16 birthday party inside the room, police said. Police say two suspects were seen running from the scene of the shooting. They are described as Black males between the ages of 18 and 22 years old with medium heights and medium builds.

Southbound I-75 traffic in Oakland County will begin shifting to newly constructed lanes on Thursday evening. Southbound I-75 traffic has been sharing the northbound side of the freeway between Adams and 13 Mile roads due to road and bridge reconstruction. Beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, one lane will be closed on southbound I-75 between Adams and 13 Mile roads to prepare for the switch. Officials say that southbound I-75 traffic will be utilizing the newly constructed southbound lanes by 5 a.m. on Friday. Officials say there will be two lanes open for both directions on I-75 between 8 Mile and Adams roads during Labor Day weekend.

TROY, Mich. Maple Road under I-75 will be closed Friday night for bridge work. Maple Road will be closed in both directions beginning at 9 p.m. Friday and is expected to reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday as crews from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) work on the bridge above. Eastbound traffic will be rerouted to Stephenson Highway, Big Beaver and John R. roads. Westbound Maple Road traffic will be directed to John R., Big Beaver and Rochester roads. MDOT says I-75 traffic should not be impacted.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black backpack and khaki pants. TROY, Mich. – A crash Tuesday morning had traffic snarled on northbound I-75 in Oakland County. The interstate was blocked between 14 Mile Road and Big Beaver Road. Crews were working to clear the scene. It’s not known how many people may have been injured in this crash. Drivers were advised all morning to seek and alternative route.

A head-on crash Monday afternoon in Troy took the life of a 74-year-old woman from Macomb Township, according to police. Troy police is investigating the crash that occurred Monday at about 2:15 p.m. on eastbound Big Beaver Road, east of John R.Several witnesses report seeing a cream colored 2008 Mercury Mountaineer, traveling westbound on Big Beaver, cross over the median and strike two trees before entering the eastbound lanes. The victim has been identified as 74-year-old Diana Zaccagnini of Macomb Township. Both drivers sustained serious injuries from the crash and were transported by Alliance Mobile Health to Troy Beaumont Hospital. Zaccagnini died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
