As we head into fall with the weather getting cooler, thousands of birds are flying south for the winter. In fact, September through November is known as raptor season because this is the time of year in Michigan when you can see many birds of prey high in the sky.

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology estimates that more than 400 million birds will be migrating across the U.S. toward their breeding grounds this week.

While birds are fun to watch all year long it’s in the spring and fall, during migration, when you will see the greatest variety. So how can you entice these birds to flock by your home?
