ANN ARBOR Having shut its doors in June due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the historic Blue Front in downtown Ann Arbor will reopen in mid-August with new owners. He said buying the Blue Front seemed like a good way to diversify while also preserving an Ann Arbor landmark. When able to, Vogt said that Blue Front will return to offering tasting events as well as monthly beer and wine clubs. Now a specialty craft beer and wine store, Blue Front has a long history in Ann Arbor. Having grown up in Ann Arbor a few blocks from Blue Front years before he purchased it, Blinder is sad to see his involvement with the historic business end, but is optimistic for its future. Nevertheless, he is thankful for his customers who have supported Blue Front over the years, some of whom have traveled to the Ann Arbor store from Toledo and Grand Rapids.
