Read full article: Does your mom like golf? Treat her to a game on the greenIf your mom has an interest in golf, why not plan some special Mother's Day golf surprises for her this year โฆby the way, Mother's Day is Sunday, May 13. You can include a sleeve of her favorite balls, a new visor, a sparkly ball marker (mom's love a little bling), etc. I think my mom cares almost as much about golf fashion as she does the game itself! For the ultimate treat, plan a day on the course with her followed by lunch out (mom's love lunch out).
Improve Your Golf Game: Fade and Draw
Read full article: Improve Your Golf Game: Fade and DrawDennis Buchweitz from Pellston, MI emailed me this week asking, "What is the easiest way to hit a slight fade or a slight draw when I need it?" In a normal shot that doesn't require to fade or draw; the face of the club is pointing at your target with the toes, hips and shoulders parallel with the target line. Swing the club on this line which will make you swing across the ball slightly making the ball fade just a little. To make the ball draw slightly, again aim the club face where you want the ball to finish and align your toes, hips and shoulders a little to the right. Swing the club on this line which will make you swing from the inside out producing a slight draw.
Improve Your Golf Game: Hip Movement
Read full article: Improve Your Golf Game: Hip MovementIn my opinion the lower body is often the most overlooked part of the swing. Many times people will have far too much movement in their lower body which causes inconsistent and offline shots. Another way to think of this is to reduce the lateral movement (side to side) during your swing. If you feel pressure on the outsides of your feet, you are swaying too much and should lessen your hip movement. If you have proper leg movement during your swing you will hit the ball more consistent and online more often.
