Brood X has been developing for 17 years and will be making their appearance soon.

A natural areas and collections specialist at University of Michigan shares what residents should do to protect their trees from Brood X cicadas.

Sometimes referred to as the Great Eastern Brood, the Brood X periodical cicada is a 17-year cicada that last emerged in 2004.

Brood X cicada are anticipated to emerge in May, June so the city of Ann Arbor has put together some resources for residents.
