Brown, originally sentenced to 37 years in prison, says he should be sentenced to the 13 years he has already served. A judge resentenced Edward Brown to 25 years in prison on charges resulting from the standoff. Brown has already served 13 years, five for the tax conviction, followed by eight from the standoff, resulting in about 17 additional years in prison. “It’s a death sentence, is what it is," Brown, 78, said to a friend as he was led away in handcuffs. Brown was originally sentenced to 37 years in prison after the standoff at his fortress-like home in Plainfield, New Hampshire.

The league says Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi will have his one-game suspension for shoving Rudolph heard Monday. Steelers center Maurkice Pounceys appeal of his three-game suspension for fighting will be heard Tuesday in New York. Pounceys threw several punches and kicked Garrett after he clobbered Rudolph.

Cleveland police say they are not investigating Browns player Myles Garrett for striking a Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback in the head with a helmet. Jennifer Ciaccia (CHAWCH) said Friday that police hadnt received a complaint from Mason Rudolph. And a city spokeswoman says the prosecutor cant comment because Rudolph hasnt filed a complaint. Garrett is the NFLs No. 1 overall pick in 2017 and was ejected from the game.

Former Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway has been suspended 10 games by the NFL for another violation of the leagues substance-abuse policy. The 22-year-old player was suspended four games earlier this season for a drug violation. The Browns ran out of patience with Callaway, who had legal troubles in college at Florida. Browns coach Freddie Kitchens benched Callaway for Sundays game against Buffalo after the receiver arrived late for the game. Despite his troubled past, Callaway was drafted by the Browns in the fourth round last year.

CLEVELAND, OH Former Browns safety Jermaine Whitehead has apologized for his alarming postgame social media rant. Whitehead was cut by Cleveland on Monday after he posted several threatening and profane messages on Twitter following Sunday's 24-19 loss in Denver. Whitehead apologized to "anyone who I offended." In one of his posts, he threatened a former NFL player and used a derogatory racial term. A starter in all eight games this season, Whitehead apologized to teammates, coaches and "most of all the fans and kids that motivate me to even pursue this dream."
