An SUV was pulling onto E. Warren Avenue from Algonquin Street when it was hit by a black Cadillac Escalade that was traveling more than 80 mph, officials said. The children were in the Escalade, which ran into a tree after striking the SUV. A woman who witnessed the crash described seeing the Escalade speeding before smashing into the other vehicle. All four people who were in the Escalade, including the two young children, were taken to a hospital.

Officials said Don The Pariah's equipment was stolen from a hotel parking lot after the event. The metal band played Friday at Pub 1281 in Clinton Township. When band members woke up Saturday morning and checked out of the hotel, they found the equipment had been stolen. Anyone who has information about the theft is asked to call Clinton Township police at 586-493-7800.

Troopers stopped a 2002 Cadillac Escalade around 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Park for a fraudulent insurance violation, according to authorities. The 44-year-old Detroit man driving the Escalade didn't have a valid driver's license and was arrested, police said. During a search of the SUV, troopers found small, empty zip-close baggies, a razor blade and a scale, officials said. Troopers said they found 50 grams of crack cocaine inside the fuse box under the hood.
