Four people are facing charges in connection with the death of a missing Michigan man after his remains were found last week.

Michigan State Police Sergeant James Bush has been credited with potentially saving an elderly man’s life last night in Chester Township, according to MSP. Sergeant James Bush found the 79-year-old man slumped over in the snow. After following the tracks, Bush found a 79-year-old Royal Oak man who was barefoot, slumped over and couldn’t stand. Bush then carried the man, who couldn’t tell which direction his cabin was in, to his truck. Bush’s wife’s call and the fast response of Sergeant James Bush, the outcome may have been different,” the release states.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Authorities in Michigan say three children were killed and another was injured after a motor vehicle struck their horse-drawn buggy. Eaton County Undersheriff Jeff Cook says the buggy was struck from behind Wednesday as it traveled along Vermontville Highway near Charlotte in southern Michigan. Cook says emergency responders arrived at the crash to find three of the children dead and a fourth seriously injured. The names of the victims weren't immediately released. He could not confirm if they were headed home from school when the crash occurred.
