A motorcyclist was killed in the middle of the afternoon Sunday when a Camaro driver ignored a stop sign in Lenawee County and caused a crash, police said.

Detectives reportedly saw him shatter the front driver-side window of a Chevrolet Camaro and attempt to steal a radar detector from the dashboard.

The driver of a pickup truck was shot after someone inside a car struck at a Detroit gas station followed him to another spot with a long gun, police said.

The Chevrolet Camaro has for decades been the dream car of many teenage American males.

DETROIT – One man was killed and three others were injured Monday when shots were fired into a car on Detroit’s west side, police said. The shooting happened around 10:50 p.m. Monday (March 22) in the area of the Davison Freeway and Woodrow Wilson Street, according to authorities. Officials said four men were inside a red Chevrolet Camaro heading east on West Davison Freeway when a black Tahoe pulled up alongside them. Shots were fired from the Tahoe into the Camaro, and all four men were struck, police said. Police said the driver of the Camaro was killed in the shooting.

DETROIT – Three people have been killed in a crash early Monday morning in eastbound lanes of I-94 at Chalmers Street in Detroit. The crash happened before 2 a.m. According to Michigan State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Camaro was speeding when it hit a Mercury SUV. The Camaro had a 39-year-old man behind wheel and a 38-year-old woman passenger. State police report excessive speed and alcohol are contributing factors in this crash.

Police said the driver of the Camaro put the car in reverse and hit the patrol car at 3:55 p.m. in the 19900 block of Oakfield Avenue. The driver then did a U-turn and sideswiped the patrol car. DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – Dearborn Heights police are searching for a man who sped away from a traffic stop when asked to perform sobriety tests, escaped officers during a high-speed pursuit and fled the scene of a crash on foot, according to authorities. They ended the pursuit in the area of Parker and Madison streets in Dearborn, according to authorities. Dearborn Heights police were called a short time later to a crash at the intersection of Westbound Michigan Avenue at Outer Drive in Dearborn, police said. It was determined the driver had gotten out of the car and fled the scene on foot before police arrived, officials said. Dearborn Heights and Dearborn police are coordinating investigative efforts to try to identify and find the driver, according to authorities.
