A car crash that injured multiple people has caused the closure of the southbound lanes of Lodge Freeway at Chicago Boulevard in Wayne County.

A man has been arrested after police busted a chop shop on Detroit’s west side, official said.

Experts said the incident highlights the rise in domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 7-year-old girl is in stable condition and is expected to be OK.

DETROIT – A 5-year-old boy who was attacked by two dogs Friday morning is expected to survive. Police said the boy was feeding five large dogs with the owner, a 36-year-old man, when the man left the room for a few minutes and when he came back, he saw two dogs attacking the child. “We heard the dogs being taken out in the trucks,” West recalled. Neighbors said they often saw the dogs just roaming around the street. He would say, ‘Get away from the dogs,’” West said.

DETROIT – A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night as he exited his vehicle near the intersection of Mendota Street and Chicago on Detroit’s west side. According to authorities, it happened at about 11 p.m. and the shots may have been fired from a dark-colored Dodge Durango. Police said the boy was taken to a hospital, where he is expected to be OK.
