The Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera has made baseball history Saturday, becoming the 33rd player to ever reach 3,000 hits and the first-ever Venezuelan player to do it -- and his fans couldn’t be more excited for him.

DETROIT – Ron Gardenhire announced Saturday he was retiring as the Tigers' manager, effective immediately. Gardenhire worked 16 years in Major League management, spending the last three seasons with the Tigers.
