TROY, Mich. – Two children from Metro Detroit are collecting canned and nonperishable foods to donate to area food banks. According to their mother, Aimee Pollak, Sophia and Max Pollak spent their holiday break coordinating a food drive. The food drive runs until Friday. There is a collection box at 5156 Collington Drive in Troy. They are also collecting baby food, formula and diapers.

DETROIT The Michigan Urban Farming Initiative is a nonprofit organization in Detroit that works toward social justice and is dedicated to urban agriculture.
