A motorist shot in a struggle with a sheriff’s deputy during a western Michigan traffic stop had been pulled over for suspicion of impaired driving, state police said Thursday.

A team of more than 20 of the Michigan brewerys employees who are currently serving, have served or are military family members teamed up to make Goin Dark. Celebrating diversity has always been core to our company, said Larry Bell, the founder and president of Bells Brewery. It can also be purchased in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles at the Bells General Store, which is located adjacent to the cafe. The brewery said the beer is available for sale so it can be enjoyed by military members when they return from deployments.

The special pack from the Comstock Park, Michigan, brewery includes a 22-ounce bottle of each beer and a 10-ounce Perrin Reserve glass. Malted Milk Ball, a 12 percent ABV brew, was aged in oak bourbon barrels for nine months. Perrin Reserve, also a 12 percent ABV beer, was aged in bourbon barrels. COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. - Perrin Brewing Co. recently unveiled a limited-edition, fall-inspired line of its Clear Coast hard seltzer. The fall pack includes cran-raspberry, dark cherry and grape pomegranate. The Michigan-based brewing company said the light fruit flavors contrast with spicy and warm fall foods. The new flavors are in addition to three flavors available yearly -- mango guava, mixed berry and watermelon lime. The fall seltzer will be available at Perrin's Comstock Park pub Thursday and at stores across Michigan later this month.

Lindsey Bresnahan didn't want Dijon mustard on her sandwich, but the mustard was mistakenly used. The impact was severe: She had to undergo speech therapy to regain full use of her voice. But the appeals court agreed with a Kent County judge who said the Jimmy John's franchise in Comstock Park isn't liable, even if staff made a mistake. The court says it's unreasonable to require restaurants to treat menu modifications as a "possible severe food allergy."
