This morning will be soggy and chilly followed by drier weather and cool conditions. Tonight becomes chillier, then tomorrow becomes brighter. Warmer weather returns early next week.

A second round of rain has arrived tonight for Detroit and Southeast Michigan. This is the second of multiple occasions of showers for the day to day and a half. Showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow. Although the threat of severe weather has shifted away from the region, nasty weather is still possible. Once it becomes drier, it becomes cooler this weekend. Then it gets milder, again, by the middle of next week.

A cold front with a line of showers and thunderstorms is arriving Thursday afternoon and evening. It remains warm and mild before midnight, then cools down afterward.

As the fog dissipates, temperatures rise and skies brighten. There remains a chance of wet weather later today, but it will not be a washout. It will be cool to mild overnight. A warm front brings showers for the first half of tomorrow and even higher temperatures for the second half and Monday.

The gray days of autumn continue with lingering low-hanging clouds, some fog and mist with scattered showers returning. Despite cloudiness, temperatures will be above average. As it remains warm, more rain is expected Friday, but some sunshine returns this weekend.

An area of low pressure comes spinning overhead toward bedtime Sunday night will keep a chance of rain showers in our forecast tonight. It will be cooler with overnight lows in the low 60s.

After nearly a full week of sunshine, rain has come back to Southeast Michigan. Today will be wet and cool to mild. Tonight and tomorrow will have shower activity, too.

DETROIT – The big jet stream pattern change came in right as expected, and last week’s warmth was abruptly replaced by Monday’s highs in the 60s (19 degrees Celsius). However, to keep things in proper perspective, our average high right now is 68 degrees (20 degrees Celsius), so that shows you that we have actually just cooled off to near average. Becoming partly cloudy Wednesday night, with lows in the mid 40s (8 degrees Celsius). Partly cloudy to possibly mostly cloudy on Friday, and even cooler with highs in the mid 50s (13 to 14 degrees Celsius). Partly to mostly cloudy Friday night, with lows in the mid to upper 30s (3 to 4 degrees Celsius).
