A 47-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident that killed a 4-year-old boy last week in Detroit.

On Wednesday, 23-year old Taylor police officer Tyler Peake told a judge he was not guilty. Peake is charged with misconduct in office and assault and battery on April 1, 2020.

A judge has ruled that a Washtenaw County deputy accused of and charged with assaulting an inmate will stand trial.
