The Oakland County Narcotic Enforcement Team (NET) launched an investigation into a residence in the 30 block of Dakota Street -- and into an illegal underground rave club, which had been operating at 125 N. Saginaw in Pontiac. Two arctic foxes were also found being held in the backyard and turned over to Oakland County Animal Control. Police said information found at the Dakota Street residence led to them discovering the underground rave club on Saginaw Street. The business was known as the Uptown Music Club, and didnt have a business license to operate either. All three men have a pretrial conference scheduled at 50th District Court at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 8.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for driving into a telephone pole then fleeing the scene in Pontiac on Sunday morning. Police say a witness saw the man drive into a telephone pole on Dakota Street and then flee the scene on a skateboard around 10:30 a.m. The deputy ordered the man to drop the tire but he swung it in the deputys direction before dropping it. Another deputy arrived and they arrested the man without further incident, police say. The Pontiac man was transported to Oakland County Jail.
