Read full article: Bridge construction to impact downtown Ann Arbor traffic through JulyANN ARBOR, Mich. – Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, downtown Ann Arbor drivers will experience longer commutes as traffic over Broadway Bridge is reduced to one lane in either direction. Lanes will be closed between Swift Street and East Summit Avenue for preventative maintenance repairs to the bridge over Depot Street, the Huron River and the Wolverine Line railroad tracks. Access to the Amtrak long-term parking lot located on the east side of the railroad tracks will be maintained. Signage will direct other pedestrian traffic along Broadway to use the opposite side of the street so that the repairs can continue. Below is an announcement from the city of Ann Arbor:Bird Road between Newport Road and Huron River Drive7 a.m. Monday, July 6-5 p.m. Friday, August 21. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 6, Bird Road will be closed to through traffic between Newport Road and Huron River Drive for retaining wall work. Eastbound Bird Road vehicle traffic will be detoured northward on Newport Road to Foster Road, then north on Foster Road to West Huron River Drive, and southeast on West Huron River Drive. Westbound Bird Road vehicle traffic will be detoured northwesterly on West Huron River Drive to Foster Road, then south on Foster Road to Newport Road, and east/southeast on Newport Road.
