DETROIT – Police said an 8-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man were shot on Detroit’s east side at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. It happened in the parking lot of the Belmont Shopping Center in the area of 8 Mile Road and Dequindre, according to officials. The 8-year-old boy was a passenger in the victim’s vehicle and was also struck. A 31-year-old passenger of the GMC Arcadia allegedly got into a verbal argument with the suspect, according to police. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20′s with a dark complexion and small dreads.
