Officials with the city of Detroit have walked back its emergency demolition order for the 130-year-old Del Bene building in Eastern Market.

The historic David Whitney building in Downtown Detroit will be getting a new look as it becomes an Autograph Collection hotel.

The building adds to Bedrock’s growing riverfront portfolio, including 300 River Place, a 500,000 SF, Class A office building.

The iconic Book Tower in Downtown Detroit will soon be home to the city’s first extended stay hotel concept, Bedrock announced on Tuesday.
