Haeger was being sought on suspicion of murder and aggravated assault in connection with Breed’s death in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Friday night before he fled, The Arizona Republic reported. His body was found at about 4 p.m. Saturday on a trail along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona, Scottsdale police said, according to KPNX. He most recently worked as a minor league coach with the Chicago Cubs' AA minor league team the Tennessee Smokies. Charles Haeger was hired by the Chicago Cubs organization as a minor league pitching coach in November 2019.

While the Oakland County Health Department continues contact tracing, school officials are encouraging students to remain vigilant. School officials said personal protective equipment and social distancing plans are working. The faculty member took a COVID-19 test over the weekend, and the results came back positive on Monday. The faculty member who tested positive will quarantine for 14 days and then take another test before being allowed back to the school, officials said.
