The man accused of making the straw purchase of the gun used to kill Detroit police Officer Loren Courts, appeared before a judge, where federal prosecutors made some damaging new claims.

A day of tributes for Detroit police Officer Loren Courts as his family, friends, and the city say their final goodbye. Courts was killed in the line of duty less than two weeks ago, and during the funeral service Monday, an end of watch call conveyed one last dispatch to him.

Friday, at the Detroit Police 2nd Precinct on the city’s west side, fellow officers, friends, family, and even strangers gathered to honor the life of Officer Loren Courts.
