Authorities took Francita Anitha Ward into custody for creating a disturbance inside Terminal 4 at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. She caused the disturbance after arriving late for Spirit Flight 2101 to Detroit. Police say Ward was loud and not wearing a mask while using profanity inside the terminal in front of families and children. As she was asked to leave Terminal 4 she yelled several times, “take me to jail.”

On Saturday at around 3:45 a.m. police responded to the crash on I-96 westbound at Grand River in Detroit. Police say the driver was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the right middle lane. The woman was not using a seatbelt. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash.
