A sheriff’s dive team helped a Metro Detroit man after his $80,000 prosthetic leg sank to the bottom of a Michigan lake.

A body was pulled from a submerged car Thursday after someone in an aircraft reported seeing a vehicle at the bottom of the St. Clair River.

A man drowned in an Oakland County pond this weekend after jumping into the water to retrieve a hat that blew off while he was mowing the lawn, deputies said.

Police have identified the victim of a drowning in Genesee County as a man from Southfield, they said.

A 28-year-old man drowned in a Pontiac lake while trying to retrieve his kayak, which had floated away from the dock, police said.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Dive Team pulled a body out of a pond inside a Clinton Township cemetery Sunday.

PONTIAC, Mich. – A Pontiac man and woman were pronounced dead at an area hospital after being found in a vehicle submerged in Terry Lake. A witness called police on Tuesday night to report that a vehicle was submerged in the lake. Dive team members found the vehicle in approximately 25 feet of water at the bottom of Terry Lake. The victims have been identified as Robert Grandberry, 69, and Cathy Grandberry, 67. Police said there is indication that Robert Grandberry had a medical issue before the vehicle went into the lake.

MILAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. A 17-year-old boy accidentally drowned at Milan Beach on Saturday afternoon, police said. At around 5:48 p.m. the Monroe County Sheriffs Office responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a boy was missing and had presumably drowned, officials said. Upon arrival the family of the teen, identified as Jorge Delgadillo-Flores of Inkster, told police that he had been struggling to swim before he went under water and they hadnt seen him since. The sheriffs dive team located the boy about 30 feet off shore near where he was last seen, officials said. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call 734-243-7070.
