On Friday, Hagerty is hosting a drive-in showing of Ferris Buellers Day Off to celebrate Collector Car Appreciation Day and grow awareness of automotive restoration and collection. The film will start at 9:30 p.m. on a pop-up drive-in movie theater at Zingermans Cornman Farms. The Motor-In event costs $20 per car and will be attended by Hagerty members with their classic cars to add to the drive-in experience. A limited number of high school and college graduates can watch the movie for free by signing up here. Five other cities will be hosting Motor-In events simultaneously for the benefit of License to the Future.Zingermans Cornman Farms is at 8540 Island Lake Rd in Dexter, Michigan.

All venue staff are required to wear masks, and Live Nation requests that attendees wear masks upon arrival, where there will be contact-less ticket scanning through their windows. Masks are not required once fans are in their designated tailgate areas, and Live Nation is not requiring that fans wear gloves. Tom See, president of Live Nation Venues-US Concerts, said the company spent months working to find a safe, enjoyable way to put on live shows during the pandemic. A menu of hot food items and nonalcoholic will be available for purchase, Live Nation said.

The Ford-Wyoming Drive-in in Dearborn now expects to remain closed until June 12 after trying to reopen on Thursday night. The drive-in says it was served a cease-and-desist order from law enforcement when it was showing movies early Friday morning. Michigans stay-at-home order has been extended until June 12, but it appears the drive-in did not know this and thought the stay-at-home order would expire at midnight. Heres the statement on the drive-ins Facebook page Friday morning:"During last nights movies, we were served a cease-and-desist order by law enforcement. The governors revised stay-at-home order did not call for a non essential business such as a drive-in movie theater to reopen.
