Authorities say that at about 7:48 a.m. Friday, the Monroe County sheriff deputy was traveling westbound on Dunbar Road while responding to an emergency call. Officials say the truck was driven by a member of the Monroe Township Fire Department, who was actually responding to the same emergency as the deputy. The deputy was conscious and alert following the crash, according to authorities. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has any information is asked to contact police at 734-242-3500.
