According to police, the victim was with another 16-year-old boy at the time when both got into an argument with the shooter. The shooter started to fire shots at both, but only struck the victim. The shooter has been described as an armed man who was wearing white pants with a grey hoodie. Anyone who recognizes the shooter in either the video or photo is asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-5540.

A preliminary investigation revealed that at about 8 p.m., the officers from Detroit Police Department’s Seventh Precinct were traveling south on Garland Street when they collided with a 29-year-old driver traveling east in a Pontac G6 on East Warren. Police said the impact of the collision caused the police vehicle to crash into a nearby church. The driver in the Pontiac G6 was taken to a hospital and was listed in temporary serious condition. The officers were listed in stable condition, and one officer has already been discharged.

The work in the East Warren and Cadieux communities is expected to start now. Residents of the area said it's worth investing in and that the area is nice. BCBS is one of seven companies that have committed $5 million to the revitalization of Detroit communities over the next five years. The others are American Axle and Manufacturing, Chemical Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Flagstar Bank, Huntington Bank and the Penskey Group.
