DETROIT – A Detroit dating app meet-up quickly turned dangerous recently. Detroit police are looking for two men wanted for carjacking and assaulting a woman they met on a dating app. Police say the woman picked up the men on Northlawn near Eight Mile and Livernois earlier this month. Then the two threw the victim on the ground and drove off in her Chrysler 200. Police found the car, but they’re still looking for the men.

DETROIT – A Detroit family continues to search for justice in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man. DreVaughn Tellis stopped at a gas station with friends on June 15 in the 12700 block of Eight Mile when he was shot and killed. “There are violent killers out there on the loose and your family could be next.”Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up or www.1800speakup.org. DETROIT – A Metro Detroit woman is speaking out after she said she was pistol whipped and carjacked while leaving a Chinese restaurant on Eight Mile and Evergreen roads. I’m just shaken saying, ‘Oh gosh. Shay said just seconds later, the suspect hit her with a gun. Shay said she got her car back but it had damage on the front of the car. She said the suspect took more than that.

Police have not identified the driver. HARPER WOODS, Mich. - Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 6:35 a.m. Sunday. Police say the driver of a passenger vehicle was trapped when that vehicle caught fire on eastbound I-94 near Eight Mile in Harper Woods. Police noted the driver was speeding and lost control going up the embankment, striking a tree and catching fire. The driver has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
