Hannah Roberts of the U.S. won the freestyle BMX world title for the fourth consecutive time and fifth overall Monday in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Netherlands' Shanne Braspennincx won the women's keirin and British rider Matthew Walls won the men's omnium Thursday in track cycling.

Everybody expected records to fall when the track cycling program began at the Tokyo Olympics, but nobody expected so much speed at the decade-old Izu Velodrome.
