Ellie feels that cross country has impacted her life in many ways over the years. “Without cross country I wouldn’t have found my passion for running," she says. “We stick by each other through our wins and losses which makes the team really special.”Since being a member of the cross country team, Ellie has won many accolades, including All-State Academic for division 4 during her sophomore and junior year.

The 16-year-old told us why he believes he earned the award, “I get along with everyone and am a good teammate on the field as well.”Ben says that he started playing soccer around the age of six. “We have good chemistry and my teammates are fun to be around every day at practice or in games,” he says. He’s had years of experience with playing tennis, however his first time facing an opponent was recent. Even though he won our 4Frenzy Award for tennis, he’s more active when it comes to playing basketball and baseball. Devin says that he is a varsity player for both the baseball and basketball team at Edsel High School. “It [tennis] helps me stay active, stay in shape and helps with my hand eye coordination for baseball,” he says.

Even though this is only her first year on the team, Stella shared some advice for those who are interested in running. Stella also enjoys tennis and has been playing for almost as long as she has been running.

I really havent been able get any awards [for Football] because I had to sit out a year because of my transfer, says Green. "We have a new coach named coach Roy, and he really changed us, and his coaching is very good." Green also says that his new coach lead them to the playoffs, which was a big success for him and his team. All around we are just a great team, and we also have a whole lot of talent on the teaml.Congrats to Quincy on his Fall Fan Choice Award!

Tens of thousands of votes were cast in this year's Fall Fan Choice Awards, and even then some categories were won by only a few votes. People from Saginaw to Sturgis voted for high school sports personalities in sports like football, soccer, volleyball and field hockey. Winners will receive patches from Local 4 signifying this year's victory and will have their names appear on our television broadcasts.
