A beloved Wayne County veterinarian passed away over the weekend after being involved in a fatal car crash, according to a Facebook post made by his clinic.

One person was killed in a crash on Wednesday on I-94 in Washtenaw County.

Police believe a mother driving a minivan that crashed with another vehicle and a barricade on Southfield Freeway, killing a toddler and injuring an infant, was driving drunk.

BRIGHTON, Mich. – Police are investigating a single-car crash that killed a 4-year-old girl in Livingston County on Friday. UPDATE: North Carolina man charged in crash that killed 4-year-old daughter in Livingston CountyAccording to authorities, the man’s 33-year-old wife, 8-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Police say the 4-year-old girl was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and died at the scene. The driver, his wife and 8-year-old son were removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and taken to the hospital for their injuries. Officials with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office believe that excessive speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
