A Hamtramck teenager has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 56-year-old man that occurred last week on Belle Isle.

ECORSE, Mich. – Lisa Marie Reed faced a judge in-person Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to her charges of second degree murder and first degree child abuse. The 34-year-old mother had twin 13-month-old boys, Zyaire and Zion Reed. Reed is charged with second degree murder and first degree child abuse after Zyaire died. She is also charge with first degree child abuse for Zion’s injuries. He was charged with first degree murder for Zyaire’s death and two counts of first degree child abuse for the twins.

ECORSE, Mich. – James Edward Gibson and Lisa Marie Reed were charged with murder Friday in connection with the death of 13-month-old Zyaire Reed. Gibson and Reed are currently facing first degree child abuse charges in connection with the surviving twin, Zion Michael Reed. “The evidence in this case will show that Zyaire Reed suffered abuse for almost half of his very young life. “The alleged facts of this case left seasoned prosecutors shaking their heads and vowing to seek justice for him.”Gibson was charged with first degree murder and first degree child abuse. Reed was charged with second degree murder and child abuse.
