From 11:30 a.m. to 11:51 a.m., the Blue Angels flew from Sutton Lake, over Detroit, around Sterling Heights and then landed at the Detroit Metro Airport. The guard’s 127th wing announced a tentative flyover schedule in a Facebook post with plans to visit Marquette, Lansing, Flint, Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Novi and Detroit.

The Navy’s Blue Angels and the Air Force’s Thunderbirds are flying over multiple cities throughout the U.S. in solidarity with frontline workers and first responders amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, officials said. “This is also our way of showing that we are all in this together and that America’s spirit will prevail.”The annual Thunder Over Michigan Airshow is scheduled to take place on August 29-30 in Ypsilanti.
