"I always liked dogs, and I always liked puppies and I figured how hard could it be to raise a puppy. Paws With A Cause trains anywhere from 50 to 75 dogs a year and are always in need of volunteers.

The cost of the athletic field project is $650,000, of which $291,000 has already been raised. Major supporters of the football field project are general contractor Barton Malow (Southfield) and Foresite Design (Berkley), a landscape architectural firm that specializes in the design of athletic and recreational facilities. When completed, the field will be home not only to the Comets, but also eight Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) youth football teams and one Detroit PAL youth soccer team.
