William Charles Heil, 65, of Angola, was pronounced dead at the scene after his car was pushed into the rear of a second semitrailer, police said. The crash that also involved three other passenger vehicles occurred about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday on northbound Interstate 69, about 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) north of the Auburn exit, police said. Auburn is north of Fort Wayne and south of the state line with Michigan.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke said the brothers were transported to a hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The men, ages 31 and 19, were accidentally electrocuted Saturday afternoon in LaGrange Township while moving a sailboat. The mast struck a power line running to a house, according to authorities. They were transported by ambulance and helicopter to the hospital.

The start of the minor league season was postponed in March and players were mostly sent home from spring training. While Major League Baseball and the players' association are negotiating terms to play big league ball this summer, it's unlikely there will be minor league games. Minor league players not on 40-man rosters were promised $400 per week through May 31 by a policy drafted by MLB.

When construction on the Gordie Howe International Bridge is complete, traffic will be increased near Fort Wayne, and the city sees a lot of potential for the site that has fallen into despair. Meagan Elliott, with Detroit Parks and Recreation, said the city is collecting ideas from planners to help make the area a public/private partnership. โWeโre going to be asking for specific plans and financial documents, anything to prove we can have a lot of serious, quality proposals for what to do with the site," she said.
