Another $400,000 will be contributed in 2021, according to Fiat Chrysler. The community benefits agreement calls for Fiat Chrysler to invest in the surrounding neighborhoods, jobs training and education. Fiat Chrysler also said Monday that it is contributing $285,000 to the Chandler Park Conservancy to help the nonprofit start construction on a community-based environmental education plaza. The automaker’s commitment to Detroit goes beyond its facilities, said Ron Stallworth, a Fiat Chrysler external affairs manager.

United Way of Washtenaw County has awarded $192,545 to 13 nonprofit organizations and groups around Washtenaw County from its COVID-19 Community Relief Fund. The fifth and final round of funding brings the total grants investments from UWWC up to $1,050,000. Since April, it has given grant investments ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 to 64 organizations and agencies in Washtenaw County. In May, the 48197/98 zip codes had a high rate of COVID-19 inflections and were considered a prioritized area by the Washtenaw County Health Department. As coastal North Carolina surveys the flooding and devastation after the hurricane crashed ashore last week, it appears the wild horses of the Outer Banks survived yet another monster storm. Unlike human beings living in the Outer Banks, the wild horses are better equipped to handle a hurricane. In the United States, it made landfall in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, and brushed other East Coast states. More than 1 million people in parts of South Carolina and North Carolina were under mandatory evacuation orders, forecasters said.

And unlike human beings living in the Outer Banks, the wild horses are better equipped to handle a hurricane. Despite the dangers from the storm, the 100 or so wild horses in the area are resourceful and have an incredibly strong will to live, herd manager Meg Puckett said during Hurricane Florence last year.
