Things to do in Metro Detroit this weekend

FERNDALE, Mich. The city of Ferndale has decided to cancel or postpone all spring and summer special events through Labor Day due to coronavirus (COVID-19). The events include:Clean the Ferndale UpFerndale Memorial Day ParadeFerndale PrideFront Porch FestReveal Art Fair and Skatepark ContestPig and Whiskey FestivalFerndale Dream Cruise and Lights & Sirens ShowFall events, including the DIY Festival, Funky Ferndale Art Fair and a rescheduled Ferndale Pride will be decided on later. The last full weekend of Summer 2019 will be filled with warm sunshine on Saturday and scattered showers on Sunday. Saturday afternoon will be partly sunny and very warm. Saturday evening will be partly cloudy and warm. Sunday will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Fall doesn't start until Sept. 23, but there are still opportunities to get out and enjoy the warm weather at a community art fair. It's all about things getting funky this weekend at the Funky Ferndale Art Fair. There will be all kinds of art, ranging from paintings to even hair art. The Funky Ferndale Art Fair is on Nine Mile Road east of Woodward Avenue. Friday's hours are 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
