The workweek has ended starkly cooler than it began in Metro Detroit. The cool air will be reinforced across Southeast Michigan this weekend.

The Howell Highlanders will host the Belleville Tigers on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m.

It’s time for Belleville vs. Howell in the Local 4 high school football Game of the Week, presented by State Champs/Game Time Live.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching the upper 60s in most of Southeast Michigan. A couple of locations may touch 70 degrees.

The Walled Lake Western Warriors will travel out west to face the Mason Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024.

Temperatures will range from around 60 degrees in the Thumb to around 65 degrees near Detroit on Saturday.

This week’s Local 4 high school football Game of the Week is a matchup between two powerhouses for the Macomb Area Red Division Championship. The Utica Eisenhower Eagles will host the Macomb Dakota Cougars on Friday, Oct, 11, at 7 p.m.

This week’s Local 4 high school football Game of the Week is a matchup between two of the best in west Michigan. The Zeeland West Dux will host the Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central Rangers on Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.

The Birmingham Groves Falcons will host its homecoming game against the Harper Woods Pioneers Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.

The Cass Tech Technicians will host Detroit Martin Luther King Crusaders on Friday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m.

This week’s high school game of the week is a league battle between two contenders in the Oakland Activities Association Red Division. The Rochester Adams Highlanders will host the West Bloomfield Lakers on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.

Warm temperatures, low humidity and dry weather continue into next week.

Southeast Michigan will have a pleasant night. Temperatures will fall to the lower 60s, except for lows in the mid to upper 50s in the Thumb and Ann Arbor. Skies will be mostly clear, but there is a chance of patchy fog developing overnight.

This week’s high school football game of the week is a east versus west matchup between two perennial powerhouses with championship expectations.

4Frenzy’s eighth Game of the Week was a matchup between the Farmington Falcons and Seaholm Maples for the OAA-Blue championship at Farmington High School.

4Frenzy’s seventh Game of the Week was a MAC-Red league matchup between the Dakota Cougars and the Eisenhower Eagles that took place at Dakota High School.

The district title will be at stake when the Woodhaven Warriors head to the home of the Dearborn Fordson Tractors Friday night

Toiling in extreme heat at the August 26 Kickoff Classic, Fordson High School earned a powerful win against Canton High School with a final score of 38-23. Both teams took the field at Wayne State University with impressive records. Canton High School finished last season undefeated while Fordson has a proud past of 15 straight winning seasons. With such well-matched teams, the Fordson Tractors and Canton Chiefs delivered an action-packed game.
