Weaver has been with the Thunder since 2010 but spent the last two years as vice president of basketball operations. He was widely considered the top general manager candidate in the league heading into the offseason. He joined the team as an assistant general manager after spending several years as a scout and player development director for the Utah Jazz. Depending on the lottery, Weaver should have a top five pick in his first draft with Detroit.
