Dearborn Public Schools announced Tuesday that the district will offer an online-only option for students this fall amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Dearborn parents and guardians who would like their students to participate in the remote learning model are asked to enroll in the program by Aug. 17. This provides an option for parents who know they want their children learning online for at least this school year. Middle school and high school students should expect to spend five to eight hours a week on each class, totaling 30 or more hours each week. Official plans for how the district will resume learning in the fall are expected to be announced next week.

School officials announced Wednesday that they were closing the school as a precaution after the staff member was exposed to someone with coronavirus (COVID-19).
